Robo Run
« on: Fri, Mar 5, 2010 »
Hi folks,

I created another game with this excellent framework named "flixel" (you might have heard of)  ;D

It's a little puzzle platformer with a twist. You have to master the force of gravity to pass through each mind-bending level (at least it's intended to be mind-bending, haha). Click into the thumbnail to play.

Any feedback is welcome. Thanks to Rybar for his moving platform example :)

Cheers

Great game, I love it!
Reminds me on vvvvv: http://www.kongregate.com/games/TerryCavanagh/vvvvvv-demo?acomplete=vvvvv

I suggest uploading it to kongregate for even more success :)

Cheers,
Dirk

I enjoyed this a lot -- it was a nice throwback to Metal Storm for the NES (at least that was the first platformer I played where you could alter gravity). Two random thoughts:

-- I didn't die at all until level 7 and then it seemed to get quite tricky. I don't think it's a problem, really, just thought it would be useful to let you know what the difficulty curve was like.

-- It'd be nice if I could jump with the down arrow key while reversed.
I will never reveal the twofold secret.

Yep. Very much like VVVVVV but with better graphics :). However VVVVV allows you to switch gravity when you are falling. Doesn't always allow you to I think

Yeah, enjoyable experience but I'd really like to be able to switch gravity in mid jump.  Adding that feature would add a lot to the game.  Great work so far though.  Very much like VVVVV (heh, did I miss a V?).  Good work so far.
