Hey everyone!
Over the past week or so I've been working on a little application that will allow AS3 game developers to make standalone Windows versions of their games. This will allow AS3 developers to easily start distributing their games on platforms such as Steam, Impulse and AppUp.

Also included with the first version is a small AS3 library that allows up to four XInput devices (i.e. Xbox 360 game pads) access to the flash game.

Check it out here!

I haven't test it yet, but if it really works, it'd be sweet man! I'm going to test it right now!

I can't get your example project to work :( This is the error I'm getting:

Quote
Error #2067: The ExternalInterface is not available in this container. ExternalInterface requires Internet Explorer ActiveX, Firefox, Mozilla 1.7.5 and greater, or other browsers that support NPRuntime.

- I've installed everything, except for SlimDX (I set Flappcore to false).
- I have the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, IE, Flash Player installed.
- I'm on Windows 7

What method do you use to embed SWF into EXE, may I ask? Did you embed Flash OCX within the EXE? Or you invented an other way?

Unless you completely decompose SWF and rebuild it somehow, it would always require a Flash OCX, or a homemade one, to play it, be the OCX on the user machine(if the user had installed Flash Player) or you embed it within the EXE.

But for the latter, it requirs Adobe's permission to distribute the Flash OCX.

externalinterface = something's making javascript calls, IIRC.  They're not going to work outside of a browser.
