Setting resolution
« on: Mon, May 2, 2011 »
Hi. I'm having a bit of a problem getting my head aroung this thing with resolution. If i want to have a resolution of 1600X1200, how do i set that up?

Set up your flash as you would for that resolution. Then when you call super, e.g.
Code: [Select]
super(320,640,Mainstate,2); where the parameters are (width, height, state, zoom). the width and height should NOT be the pixel size (i.e. 1600x1200) it should be game size (so for zoom x2, with a game 1600x1200, the first two should be 800 and 600)

Also be prepared for a pretty choppy / slow frame-rate at a resolution of 1600x1200! Flash is poorly optimised for games of that size.
