Easy way for Multi-player games??
« on: Thu, Jun 16, 2011 »
Today i was thinking making a multi-player game. I know i am extremely new to scripting and this may be harder than it seems, but right now im just experimenting on the things that flixel and flash can do.
For now i have a couple questions:

Is there any easy way to do this?
If not, are there any tutorials you can point me to?
Do i need a server? If so, do they cost money?

Check out Player.IO.  It's a pretty all-in-one package, and works amazingly well.  There are a couple different price options, including a free one.  It's also written by a flixeller, Benjaminsen!

Hey thanks! Its a do you know of any good tutorials? :)
oh yes, and one more thought. Is there any way to have communication between two flash games both open in a browser? (like in Achievement Unlocked 2 when you have 2 windows open)...do you need a server for this?
