If I understand correctly, he is looking for a way to create spritesheets quickly. Personally I use Photoshop and create the sheet myself. I'm sure there are programs to create spritesheets, just don't know which ones. You could try googling "create spritesheet" and see what the results give you.

I use GIMP!  Of course, I'm a pretty bad artist, but it works well enough for me.  Try turning on the grid option, and setting it to the size of one frame of your sprite.

To make spriting easier in GIMP, I set some keyboard shortcuts.  They put the relevant tools on my left hand, mostly unshifted, so I can work faster.  Here's what I use:

1 - zoom 100%
2 - zoom 200%
3 - zoom 400%
4 - zoom 800%
5 - zoom 1600%

a - pencil
f - bucket Fill
q - foreground swatch color previous
w - foreground swatch color next
s - rectangle Select
m - Move
h - flip Horizontally
v - flip Vertically
r - Rotate 90 degrees clockwise
R - Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise
g - show Grid

Besides keyboard shortcuts, I also made a set of rectangle brushes, 1x1, 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x16, 2x1, 4x1, 8x1, 16x1, 2x2, 4x4, 8x8, 16x16, and got rid of all the default brushes.

By the way, one program a lot of spriters like is called GraphicsGale.  It's free; there's a pay version, but the added features aren't really relevant to making game sprites, so you only really need to pay if you want to support the authors.  You can get that here: http://www.humanbalance.net/gale/us/index.html

If you happen to have your animation in a swf then there are handy tools like Grant Skinner's Zoe that will convert a Flash timeline animation to a sprite sheet. Also, SpriteSheetr is a quite handy tool for taking separate images and condensing into single png.

I'm not an artist myself, but the above tools are great for getting someone else's art into Flixel.

GIMP is great!

"Grid" is great for tilemaps!

I do basically what auriplane does, without the keyboard shortcuts. Can't figure out how to do that. :(

Yeah, but I think (on my version-it is a bit old) It's glitchy or something-I couldn't get it to work. :(
I'll try to download the newer one.

given that you have your sprites and just need to organize it into a spritesheet. try this free adobe air program:
http://blog.flashgen.com/2010/12/21/sprite-sheet-maker-preview/

it's very straight forward. Just import images, adjust the grid to how many columns/rows you want and export it.
This has been a great timesaver, especially when you have a lot of sprites to deal with.

Using Photoshop.Search "flixel" on YouTube, the very first result should be "Flixel tutorial part 1",watch all the parts "There's like 41" ~♪
