thermalJS [Version 0.29, "Full Bast"]
« on: Sat, May 5, 2012 »
Hooray! New version! Now you can listen to music and play sounds!
Now I'm naming releases. This time it's called "Full Blast" because that's what I do with my music at midnight.

Download Here

Release Notes:
In this version I have:

Started commenting on functions, (Hey! It takes a while!)
    Deleted useless variables.
Fixed multiple bugs with null variables and broken functions,
Found out “mouse clicking” doesn’t work on mobile devices. I’ll fix this later…
Added a pool object – pool things like bullets and stuff! I’ll add a bullet and enemy pool later…
Added a Text object… Need to make \n part work…
    Added Music
    Added Sounds and soundPool…

Very big update and a big jump from version 1.15 or whatever.

Stupid uploading on bluehost isn't working right, probably because I'm in linux, so I can't show you a sample game. Sorry. :(
Also started calling my versions names. This version-thing is called “Full Blast”.
You know, like full blasting your music? ;) Next one may be called “Deep Pool” because I’ll be
adding bulletPool and enemyPool, (Flixel calls it Recycling as most of you guys know)

Yeah I noticed that too. I'm not sure why. :'(
I'm looking into that.

Also, it seems glitchy also because:
1) On corners, it kinda glitches. Working on that today.
2) There is no maxVelocity, So the player starts accelerating downward super fast, skipping tiles.

Ok then! Updated to version 0.1!!

This version is kinda minor, but I fixed the hiccup glitch and colliding works nicely. (But acceleration glitches it out a bit)
Acceleration now has a cap, (maxVelocity) and camera now has a buffer.
Camera can now follow an object.
See here:

Works much better, eh?

Some minor glitches are gone too.

Group still doesn't work.

:)

Cheers,
Josh

Yay! Even better! 0.19 is out!

I fixed a lot of little things.

Even though no one looks here ever, here is the demo:

Download here:

About the demo. There are now shadows! Hurrah! And rain! (only in the first room. Go to the one at the left, and no rain. Magic!

Hey! I do! Even as it is, its rather nice and fairly impressive. I'll be looking forward to what all else you put in here. Playcraft has something similar and is opensource so you might want to check it out to see if it helps. Looking forward to seeing more. Rain effect is awesome looking by the way.
Now on twitter: http://twitter.com/xhunterko I made a game that's in alpha you can buy here: http://xhunterko.itch.io/wave-miner-alpha

Ok then, new update! Now version 0.29! Now music and sounds work! Also there is a sound pool for all your sound-playing needs!
I call it "Full Blast" because that is what I do with my music late at night.
So the example looks the same, but I added text. Also runs faster. But bluehost doesn't like linux and I'm too lazy to switch operating systems. So no example.
But download here:
thermalJS 0.29 "Full Blast"

Have fun! :)
