I can't help but notice that in the docs, it reports that using FlxSprite.scale reduces the rendering perfomance by 10x.

Is there a better way to do that?

I just want a bitmap at the top of the screen to scale in size if the window is resized. (currently I have the resizing part working, but the image sometimes goes off the screen if its too small)

Perhaps it's possible to scale it one time and then assign that to another sprite?
