Hi everyone,

Now that looping versions of most of my tracks are done, I'm back to creating brand new music and soundscapes. Got a new synth, too, so lots of new sounds are on their way. Here are some for starters:

"Sky Runner" (standard and looping)
"Cyber Teen"

"It's Always Sunny in the 80's"
"It's Raining Pixels"
"The Ice Cream Man"

"After the Invasion"

"From the Sand to the Stars"

I hope some of them are useful!  :-)

Thanks to all who participated! We've stopped data collection, and gotten a lot of valuable feedback from you guys.

Despite the end of data collection, I'd still welcome any questions you may have about the study, or any input you guys have on game taxonomy.

Enjoy your week!  :-)
I've done a new Infinity PBR pack, Demon this time :)

chat / Gaming Taxonomy and How To Classify Games
« Last post by Greendude123 on Mon, Apr 3, 2017 »
Hey there!
I have a question for you guys: how would you go about classifying a game you developed?

Iím a student at the Illinois Institute of Technology and Iím looking for your help. We're running an online research study to develop a measure of game experience, and we're looking for input from game developers on game definitions. I was hoping you would be willing to take part in the study by responding to our 15-minute survey. It's all fully confidential, and I would be more than happy to provide you further details or answer any questions about my research and this study on this topic thread.

Survey Link:

You may find it surprising (or not, probably not) that academicians haven't figured a "proper" way to classify games, so game developer input is very appreciated. You guys contribute to science. Thank you!
Although I would like a response to the survey, I'd also love a discussion on the matter here on the forums!

I had a great time at EGX: Rezzed this weekend! Some big highlights for me were 'Bombslinger' in the Indie Room and 'The Occupation' in the Unreal Showcase. Definitely a couple of games to look out for.

I've just joined the team for upcoming first-person, story-driven action adventure 'Unknown Fate'. We'll be working on something a little special over the next couple of weeks, so watch this space...

Hi everyone,

This week's new free tracks are:

"Cyber Dystopia"_Looping

"Sewer Creepers"_Looping

"Grunge Bot"_Looping

I get emails every once in a while from folks who seem to be having a bit of trouble navigating the site. Here are some things to keep in mind that should hopefully help:

1. The titles of the pages in the tan box under the header image are actually links to the various pages. Hover over them to highlight them (a box appears around them) and then click.

2. I think sometimes people are fooled when they click on one of the page links, like for example "Fantasy 3" and nothing seems to happen. But if you look closer, you'll see that the title of the link you clicked on actually turns to bold indicating that you are now on that particular page. Simply scroll down to see the contents of that page.

3. Since all of the page links appear at the top of every page, it's easy to think that you haven't been taken anywhere after clicking on one of them. Again, notice that the title of the link you clicked on has now turned bold...and you have to scroll down to see the page contents.

Anyhow, I hope that's helpful!  :-)
I've uploaded something slightly different than usual this week.

I've been making some 'cave ambience' sounds for Infinity PBR. So I decided to put together a few of these to make an immersive first-person perspective, dungeon crawling audio 'scene'.

Wear headphones for greater impact!
